Serving the Church
The Intercessory Ministry enables committed members to intercede in prayer, to share God's love with one another and to offer themselves to God as instruments, to be used for His work in the world.
As one family, led by the guidance of the Holy Spirit and through the Motherly intercession of our Blessed Mother, we lift up the needs of the world and all those who need us to intercede for them. The Movement welcomes and receives prayer requests either through email or personal contacts. We respect your privacy.
Every Thursday we observe a day of fasting and prayer, for the needs of the Group as well as those of the world. An Intercessory Calendar for each month is prepared and shared with all members to enable us to intercede as one for every special need.
The ministry participates in the Mass, followed by Adoration, reciting the Rosary and Reconciliation. Later they assemble, intercede and pray together. The Ministry also organises the Six Day Mission every two years, led by Rev. Fr. Augustine Vallooran and his team.
The Music Ministry is the heart of the movement and its spirituality as we are determined to focus our Praise and Worship on giving all glory to our Lord Jesus Christ.
By coming together in one body of Christ and singing from our hearts we hope to bring about anointed praises to heal the people from their infirmities and bondages as the Spirit moves in the Praise and Worship hymns.
The members of the Music Ministry seek to serve the Lord and His body, the Church by leading the people to worship in spirit and in truth. This we achieve by committing ourselves to grow personally in the Lord Jesus, by reading the Word of God, daily prayer and regularly receiving the sacraments of the Church.
The Marriage Ministry aims for couples to celebrate God's love. The Ministry celebrated its first 'Renewal of Marriage Vows' Mass on 17 July 2007 at Christ the King Church, Owairaka, Mt Roskill. The mass was celebrated by Fr. Michael Endemann, Assistant Parish Priest. His message to the couples: "Marriage is an intimate union… it is a covenant and God's blessings."
The ministry helps couples understand that God is the one who instituted marriage, to understand His divine plan for married life, and to celebrate the gift of the sacrament together.
Goals of the Marriage Ministry include:
The DRC New Zealand Children's Ministry leads Adoration, Praise and Worship for young people, followed by Holy Mass on the third Saturday of each month at St. John Vianney Church, Hillsborough.
